FIND YOUR SOUL MATE

Last night the launch gals popped down to the RES Denim at David Jones’ Find Your Soulmate launch. Spotted was the gorgeous Sara Donaldson of Harper and Harley, the talented Cheap Monday crew, Brooke Cullen and of course Romy Frydman sharing her stylish tips on how to find your denim soul mate. 

We had tons of fun getting our photo's taken in the RES Denim booth. A lovely interactive idea that had you download and share your images with the chance to win a $1000 gift card! Fingers crossed...

Meanwhile it was great to see some of the key fashionistas sporting the 'non-jacket jacket' trend. Worn around the shoulders or simply tied around the waist, this is a look we're definitely loving!

During the whirlwind that is MBFWA, Launch was treated to an afternoon visit by Erin Maxwell - stunning mother of two and creator of the fabulous fashion blog Love Shop Share.

What's your favourite purchase this year?

Definitely my Celine Trio bag.

What's your favourite accessory?

Has to be the watch, I have several.

How would you describe your style?

Casual but with a touch of street. Never too forced.

Best thing you've seen at MBFWA so far?

Maticevski was amazing, Ginger and Smart and By Johnny had incredible prints!

Where's your favourite Melbourne hang out?

South Melbourne Clarendon street - has the best coffee's, great shopping and a laid back vibe. 

What beauty product can you not live without?

I recently bought a moisturiser by Anne Berlese whilst I was in Paris. Not too expensive and incredible.

What are you studying?

I am currently in my final year studying graphic design at raffles college, 2 more terms to go!

What are you interning as?

At Launch I am interning as graphics where I get to design lookbooks and invites and help with anything else the girls need.

What attracts you to the fashion world?

I love everything about it, but in particular, the ability that fashion enables you to express yourself to be as creative as possible. Im not sure what it is yet that attracts me so much but I just LOVE it- there is no other word to explain the feeling…and Launch has opened up a whole new world to me. 

Who is your favourite designer?

Kookai, Finders Keepers, Cameo and Bojena King

Favourite Accessories?

Anything Rose Gold! But currently loving my new kookai rose gold and white bracelet.

Tansy is one of the brand managers that makes up the Launch Fashion Management team. She is not only really fun to work with, she has a great sense of fashion and a sharp eye for trends.

How did you start working in the wholesale industry? 

I was fortunate enough to score my Lucky Break with Cooper St, after working in Sales for a few years prior.  

What do you like most about your job?

There is nothing like opening a box of new Season box of samples ….  It NEVER gets old!  I love to see what our Amazing brands have in the pipeline. 

What is your most recent splurge? 

I'm All about a great print, I couldn’t resist the new Paradise printed pants by Maurie & Eve, I purchased these last weekend. 

What is your favourite accessory?

My Limited Edition Michael Kors Watch has to be one of My Fav Arm Candy items to date, theres not an outfit it doesn’t compliment Combine that with my YSL Arty Ring and Im complete ! 

Which your favourite boutique in Sydney?

I have to pick just one ? Ahh well i'm an online addict so you can catch me most days browsing the new arrivals section on my fav Sites. I also caught a glimpse of the new season Manning Cartell in there oxford street store Im in love!! 

What advice to girls still in university who want a career in fashion?

To succeed in this industry fashion has to be part of your heart ! Stay dedicated and take every opportunity even if its small, experience is essential!

Favourite restaurant in Sydney?

At the moment my new fav would Have to be APOLLO in Potts point, they do amazing Greek cuisine. The saganaki cheese honey oregano is to die for – I cant wait to go again. 

What is your fashion advice?

'You can Never be Overdressed' Remember those few words and you cant go wrong.
