Hotspot: BALI!
With a flight time of just 6 hours from Sydney, Bali continues to be a hugely popular and very easy tropical getaway that Australians have been taking advantage of for years. Over the last few years, a number of Australian fashion designers have been making the trip to design and manufacture their lines (and often open boutiques or their factories to the public.) Designers such as Ebony Eagles from Ebony Eve, Jessie White from Shakuhachi, Natasha Welsh from Natasha, Georgia Hall from State of Georgia and Alice McCall have all based themselves there at some point and it's clear the island culture has influenced their beautiful designs. If you're heading over there - make sure you also check out C Boutique for some incredible swimwear, SKS for eclectic clothing and jewellery and Magali Pascali for stunning dresses. We've heard great things about the food & cocktails at Potato Head Beach Club too. With great shopping spots, beautiful hotels and spas, the tropical climate and incredible food, it's easy to see why these Aussie designers have made the move!

We Hart Jess!
Homegrown hottie Jess Hart is the envy of all of us here at Launch. Her rocker-chic sense of style and quirky persona makes Jess the ultimate girl crush. Whether she's rocking a vintage band tee with sequin leggings on the streets of New York or a structured blazer with leather leggings at a glamourous Chanel event, Jess' ability to mix and match (and pull off) these effortless outfits amazes us every time!

Splendour in the Grass Style Guide
Splendour in the Grass is fast approaching at the end of this week and we're getting our outfits sorted early! The 3 day festival in Byron Bay is renown for it's unpredictable weather and therefore layering is key when it comes to surviving Splendour in style. You definitely need a fedora to keep the sun off your face during the day and your head warm later on. Sunnies are also key - a cute tortoiseshell pair will give you extra style points. Chambray shirts have been a huge hit and are great for layering over a crochet cami, and just incase it's extra chilly, throw on a khaki anorak. You can't possibly go to a festival without a pair of denim cut offs - it just wouldn't be right! And lastly, some gumboots will be a life saver if previous years are anything to go by. You'll be grateful for the warm, dry feet by the end of the day!

Model Behaviour
There's something in the water lately because Australia has produced a stellar crop of models who are making their names known internationally! Beautiful girls like Jess Hart, Nicole Trunfio, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Gemma Ward, Abbey Lee Kershaw and the divine Miranda Kerr. If you're looking for names to watch, Sam Harris and Alice Burdeu (the winner of Aus Next Top Model) are definitely on the up and up, having graced the covers of Vogue and both with lucrative contracts with fashion brands David Jones and Country Road.
