Fashion Week SS14

Summer's in sight and that means it's time to start adding those luxuriously chic bits and pieces to your wish list and get your wardrobe summer ready! The SS14 collections have just been previewed around the world at various Fashion Week locations and with ranges from bold colours and florals to monochrome with masculine tailoring and a sports luxe theme, there was definitely not one disappointment at this years shows. 

With immaculate attention to detail and an effortlessly chic vibe floating throughout each range at the shows, we are sure you're going to love the fresh new collections that will drop in stores early next year! Structured silhouettes with feminine textures added to the sports luxe vibe, while the neutral and monochrome colour palettes stayed true to the chic guidelines.

Probably one of the best 'light bulb moments' in fashion history, the Boyfriend jean is the latest epidemic in Hollywood. They're super relaxed and practical, Oh and not to mention both heel AND sneaker friendly!

Style Queen, fashion icon and all round it-girl, Olivia Palermo always gets it right. Whether she's snapped walking her dog in casual weekend wear, sitting front row at fashion shows or at her local Starbucks, Olivia always steps out in style and almost outdoes herself every time.

70's Bound

Like Red is to Valentino, we're cranking up the flower power this Spring like no other.

Our fashion icons got us hooked on metallic shades last season but we must say "Auf Wiedersehen" as circular, transparent sunglasses owned the Spring 13 runway. The boyish frame is simply 70's nostalgia because we never forget the golden rule in fashion "nothing goes out forever".

Think strawberry milkshakes and cool peach ice teas and say "halo" Spring!

Keepsake The Label on The X Factor recently! Nat teamed this little number with 

a pair of simple black stiletto pumps and soft curls. With the amazing 

gold detail at the neck of the dress, the term 'less is more' seems appropriate

in regards to jewellery with this baby!

With props to the original Zara skort, asymmetrical designs are quickly becoming the next biggest thing on the fashion scene. With their unique style and ability to be teamed with almost anything in your wardrobe, it's no wonder that these babies are quickly becoming the ultimate must-have item!

Alexander The Great

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week will be producing its final shows over the next 24 hours, and we've been absolutely floored so far by some of the most amazing Spring 2014 collections that are set to drop in stores early next year.

With Alexander Wang's SS/14 collection debuting on Saturday evening, it has received nothing but praise. With his own modern twist on his 90's inspired collection, Wang's latest namesake collection has undoubtedly been the most talked about show of the week; and judging by the photos below featuring his sports-luxe line, we're not surprised. 

Wang's super cute niece, Aila, was also spotted at the show wearing her own Alexander Wang SS14 tee, and if we can look half as cute as her we will definitely be sporting Wang inspired designs this Spring!

MBFF

The annual fashion festival kicked off last night with an amazing show by General Pants Co, and if the sneak peek of their new designs was anything to go by we're 110% sure that this weekend is going to be one that you won't want to miss.

Collections by many of the industries best designers will be on display for those lucky ones who scored themselves a ticket to this years festival, and if you won't be making it this year you can check out photos and videos from the shows on the MBFF website here. The festival will showcase collections by Alice McCall, Bec & Bridge, Shakuhachi, Camilla and Marc, Bless'ed Are the Meek, Staple The Label, By Johnny, We Are Handsome, Kardashian Kollection and many more!
